In addition to the Canadian Breeders Championships eliminations this weekend at Mohawk Racetrack, the Campbellville oval will be playing host to elims for the Armbro Flight Stakes and the illustrious Maple Leaf Trot
.
The Armbro Flight elims will be contested Friday, as 14 trotting lasses will make up a pair of seven-horse divisions, slated as Races 2 and 4.
Buck I St Pat (PP4, Ti. Tetrick) has drawn mid-gate in the first elim. The student of trainer Ron Burke last raced July 3 at the Meadowlands and finished a half-length back in second after putting in a 1:52.4 mile. The millionaire daughter of Jailhouse Jesse has a 3-1-1 record from seven starts this year.
The second of the Armbro Flight elims will feature a pair of past winners, as both Falls For You (PP3, Ma. MacDonald) and Lavec Dream (PP4, L. Ouellette) will contest the dash. The former won the event last season, while the latter captured the 2008 edition of the Armbro Flight.
The $365,000 (estimated) final of the Armbro Flight will be contested Saturday, July 25 at Mohawk.
