Over the years Lets Leavem has gained notoriety of being one of the top RUS horses in Ontario, and it’s safe to say he hasn’t lost any of his skill based on his 2019 RUS debut Saturday evening at Hanover Raceway.
With owner Sarah Town calling out orders from the irons, Lets Leavem was hustled to the lead from Post 3 and he never looked back through fractions of :30.1, 1:00.3 and 1:31. A :30.4 closing quarter was just enough for the gelding to win by a head over All Out Henry in 2:01.4. Massive Muscles rounded out the top three in the four-horse affair.
Sent off as the even-money favourite, the nine-year-old son of Angus Hall-Who Tookem won for thee fourth time this season from 17 assignments. He’s a 27-time winner with earnings now in excess of $230,000. From eight appearances in RUS events, Lets Leavem has racked up seven victories.
