For the second time in less than two weeks, Monticello Raceway’s leading driver, Bruce Aldrich, Jr., has reined six winners on a single card. It happened on the 13-race card which took place Monday, July 12
.
Aldrich began his assault when he won the second race with his wife April’s trotter, Distinct Victory, in a time of 2:02. He then came right back to win the third race with Sea Horse Farm’s Magic Z Tam in a time of 1:59:1.
Aldrich’s next triumph came in Race 7 when he guided Sarah’s Creek to a 1:58:4 victory, and then he reeled off consecutive wins in Races 10 and 11. He guided Im All Sporty home first in 1:59:1 in the 10th, and then won the 11th with Pinnacle Portia in a 1:58 clocking.
Aldrich capped his afternoon performance with a 1:58:2 triumph with his own I C Linda in the 13th and final race.
Now with 220 seasonal triumphs at Monticello, Aldrich leads runner-up Zeke Parker by 68 wins, 220-152.
