Camluck Offspring Dead-Heat At Dresden

Dresden Raceway saw its first dead-heat win since 2009 on Sunday afternoon as Cantgorongwithluck with Donnie Rankin Jr. and Spilling The Beans with Andy Moore hit the wire together in the eighth race in 2:00.3.

Three-year-old pacing colt Cantgorongwithluck and sophomore filly Spilling The Beans are both sired by Camluck.

Cantgorongwithluck is owned by Ronan Siddall of Lasalle, Ont., with Rankin as the trainer/driver while Spilling The Beans is co-owned by Louisa Spitman of Hamilton, Ont. and trainer Dennis Morrissey of London, Ont.

Nick Steward continued his hot hands at Dresden Raceway as he drove three horses to the winner’s circle. The 24-year-old reinsman guided Fastimes, Fightyourobsession and Giddy Up Bella to victory.

Mark Williams and Garrett Rooney each had driving doubles on the afternoon. Williams drove Acton Real Foolish and Boomers Sidekick to first-place finishes while Rooney was the teamster aboard winners P J Camdex and Xtreme Marine.

Over 800 people were in attendance at the track and bet $19,380.
