NJSS Night Of Champions Drawn

The leading New Jersey-sired two-year-old pacers and trotters will compete Saturday night (July 16) at the Meadowlands Racetrack in four New Jersey Sire Stakes Night of Champions races worth $700,000 in total purses

Three double winners of preliminary legs in the NJSS Premier Division series headline the fields competing for $175,000 in each of the individual championship events.

Notreadytobenice, a daughter of Western Ideal who won both her NJSS starts (1:54.4 and 1:55.1), is the top point-earner in the final for two-year-old pacing fillies. Also in the field is Blackjack Princess (by Cams Card Shark), who finished second both times to Notreadytobenice. Other juvenile pacing fillies in the final include single-heat winners Pirouette Hanover (Western Ideal), a winner in 1:54.4, Denyitotheend (Tell All), in 1:56.1, and Rockaround Sue (Rocknroll Hanover), in 1:54.

The $175,000 Premier Division championship finals for two-year-old trotting colts and geldings and two-year-old trotting fillies also boast double preliminary leg winners, Vic Smith, a colt by Yankee Glide that won in 1:57.3 and 1:57.4, and Vanity Treasure, a filly by Muscles Yankee, clocked in 1:58.3 and 2:00.1.

The $175,000 NJSS Championship final for two-year-old pacing colts and geldings will include five single-heat winners from the preliminary legs. Four of the five were sired by Rocknroll Hanover, Pet Rock (1:52.4), Time To Roll (1:51.2), E Street Plan (1:54) and Simply Business (1:54.3), and one by Western Ideal, I Fought Dalaw (1:52.1).
