The best two and three-year-old trotters and pacers from across the Maritimes will be featured this week at Red Shores’ Summerside Raceway, as part of harness racing action during Governor's Plate Week.

A full slate of Atlantic Sires Stakes events will take place throughout the week, beginning with the two and three-year-old trotters on Tuesday evening. Two divisions of the Atlantic Sires Stakes - Meridian Farms three-year-old trot will each be raced for an $8,820 purse. Meanwhile, three divisions of the Atlantic Sires Stakes - Meridian Farms two-year-old trot will each be raced for a $6,400 purse. Meridian Farms, Atlantic Canada's largest Standardbred breeding operation, is a major sponsor of the trotting events. First-race post time on Tuesday is 7 p.m. To view the entries, click here.

Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action will continue on Wednesday evening when the two-year-old pacing fillies meet for some friendly competition, and the two year-old pacing colts will have their time to shine on Thursday.

Atlantic Sires Stakes racing action will wind up at Summerside on Friday and Saturday with the three-year-old pacing fillies and colts.
