The son of Beach Of Faith cut the fractions in :27.4, :57 and 1:26.4 en route to a decisive victory in 1:55.3, setting a season's track record by a one-fifth of a second. Vagabond Angus and Canbec Hooligan finished respectively second and third. Beach Runner A M is owned by Ferme Alain Martin of Trois-Rivieres, Quebec.
In the horses and geldings trotting series final, Herbie Drummond took the lead at the quarter mile and he was never seriously threatened the rest of the way as he posted his third win in a row. Owned by La Ferme Drummond, Herbie Drummond beat Mini Mel and First Aqua in 2:00.2 with Richard Veilleux at the controls.
The pacing mare Sans Frontiere kept her perfect record this year on Quebec's racetrack thanks to her 1:58 triumph over Petite Courageuse and Zoes Turn while Quelene Bayam defeated Sos Goddess with a 2:00.2 effort in final for trotting mares.
In other racing action, Maverick Bayama shined back in the spotlight in his first start this year with a 2:01.3 mile for driver Rene Quessy.
