"It’s a thrill to see the crowds like we used to have here years ago when we all first started, and to hear the roar of the crowd cheering their favourite horses and drivers on coming off that last turn, it’s good to get that back."

On today’s Trot Radio, Norm Borg talks to NCRHHA Director John MacMillan about the upcoming Night Of Champions event at Rideau Carleton Raceway. The night features the Coville Cup for up and coming drivers in North American harness racing, invitational races featuring the nine winningest drivers in track history, memorial races honouring some of the region’s builders, and some Future Stars events for non-licensed drivers.

The night, which will feature guest announcer Frank Salive, also raises money for the Shepherds Of Good Hope. First race post time on the Sunday, August 1 card will be 6:30 p.m.
