Apex remains the top-ranked Hambletonian contender in the Week 9 edition of the "Road to the Hambletonian," released on Wednesday, July 1.
The Dan Patch Award winner rallied from post 11 to finish second by a neck to stablemate American Power in three-year-old debut on June 5, with a final quarter in :25.2, then held off Diabolic Hill for a new mark of 1:50.3 in the New Jersey Sire Stakes Platinum final. The Marcus Melander trainee did not race last two weeks but is entered in a Big M qualifier on the morning of Saturday, July 4.
Inexpressable joins the top 10 rankings at No. 10 after winning the Yonkers Trot. Three others, Diabolic Hill, Neighver Punt and Magic Punk, will clash the W.N. Reynolds Memorial Stakes race two division coming up at The Meadowlands on Saturday, July 4.
The rankings are compiled by Meadowlands Racetrack's Ken Warkentin each week leading up to the 101st Hambletonian (Grade 1), which will take place on Saturday, Aug. 8 at The Meadowlands.
