Four divisions each of three-year-old colt pacers and trotters will wrap up the third leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series on Sunday and Monday (July 2 & 3) at MGM Northfield Park.

Each of the four $20,000 divisions of sophomore pacers will feature at least one previous winner in the series.

In the first division, Gettingyoursealegs is the morning line favourite. The Downbytheseaside gelding has hit the board in six of seven this year, winning two for trainer Ron Burke.
Brian Brown will send the favourite, Surfside Beach, to the gate in the second division. Also a son of Downbytheseaside, Surfside Beach has one win in three starts.

The third division is packed with four previous winners. Donttouchmytruck and Quick Trick are the top two choices, both are by Racing Hill.  Both Donttouchmytruck, trained by Judy Roegner, and the Jeff Conger-trained Quick Trick have won three of eight starts this year.

The other two winners are by Fear The Dragon.  Calvin Hollar’s Dragon Candy will look for his fifth win of the year, while Jessica McCown’s Boundtobefearless will try to score for the fourth time this season.
Boardwalk Jack will look for his second win in the series in the final division.  The Burke trainee is by Downbytheseaside and has three wins this year.

Three other leg winners, Liteningonthebeach, Primary Driver, and Seafire will race in the third leg of the Ohio Sires Stakes on Saturday (July 1) at Eldorado Scioto Downs, while Under Your Scars a winner in the first leg will sit out the third leg of both the Buckeye Stallion Series and the Ohio Sires Stakes.

Each of the four $20,000 divisions for three-year-old trotters will have a past series winner in the field.

In the first division, Vondell Kemp will look for his third win of the year.  The son of What The Hill is trained by Tyler Bates.

Chris Beaver trainee Domovy is the favourite in the second division.  The Triumphant Caviar gelding has hit the board in five of eight starts, winning two.

The third division features Fiesty Sam, who has also won two of eight starts this year.  The son of Victory Sam is trained by Matthew Brown.

Long Tom Jess, the favourite in the fourth division, will look for his second win of the year.  He has hit the board in six of nine starts for trainer Rosy Weaver.
