Soccer Hanover Swoops In Summerside

Soccer Hanover had the perfect trip for an upset performance in the Friday afternoon top class at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway. 

Ken Murphy provided the textbook steer in the $3,300 Preferred 2 pace as he sat second while race favourite Screen Test (Driven by Corey MacPherson) set down the fractions of :28.2, :57.3 and 1:27.1. Soccer Hanover came up to engage for the stretch drive to win in 1:55.3 by a head. Screen Test was second ahead of Mantario (Damian MacLellan). Leith Waite trains and co-owns the winning son of Dragon Again with Les and Spencer Waite of Charlottetown

Heart And Soul was victorious in the Canada Day pace winning in 1:57.3 for driver Walter Cheverie, trainer George Riley and owner Riley Farms Ltd. 

Corey MacPherson scored a driving triple winning with Wild River Coyotee (1:57.1) for trainer James Barlow, Pictonian Storm (1:56.4) for trainer Wade Sorrie and Private Dancer (1:59.3) from the Paul Conway barn. MacPherson now sits with 12 wins on the year in Prince County to be three wins back of leading dash winning driver Ken Murphy. 

Ubettimagoodone provided the biggest upset of the day in Race 5 for a $2,600 purse winning at 14-1 odds for driver Mark Bradley and trainer Jeff Lilley while defeating race favourites GA Speed Sammy (David Dowling) and Woodmere Ideal Art (Jason Hughes).
