Jefferson Tare continued his winning ways at the Hippodrome 3R Tuesday, posting his fifth straight victory in a 1:58 romp for driver Pascal Berube.

Leaving from post three in the ninth race pacing feature, Berube sent Jefferson Tare to the lead and the duo never looked back. They cut fractions of :29.2, 1:00 and 1:29.1 and opened up on the field by two lengths at the top of the stretch and pulled away to win by seven lengths at the finish. Ladylyonne (Stephane Gendron), the lone filly in the field, was second, with Snipper Phil (Marie Claude Auger) third.

It was the fifth win in six starts this year for Jefferson Tare. The three-year-old gelded son of Jeremes Jet is trained by Pierre Leclerc, who co-owns Jefferson Tare with Gina Bragagnolo of Louiseville, QC. Jefferson Tare paid $2.40 to win.

Also of note in the sixth race feature trot, Guy Gagnon’s Domino Cybele led from start to finish by 1-1/2 lengths in 2:01.4. It was the fourth win in five starts for Domino Cybele, a five-year-old gelding by Victorys Force. He paid $2.70 to win.
