Sintra faced the starting gate three times as a rookie, but he failed to win a race. This year, however, he's made the winner's circle his second home.

Sintra is now 4-for-4 to kick off his 2016 campaign thanks to another facile victory for the duo of driver Jody Jamieson and trainer Dave Menary.

Jamieson hustled the three-year-old son of Mach Three-Dancin Barefoot to the lead and together they carved out fractions of :27.2, :56.3 and 1:24.4 before kicking home in :26.4 to win by a wrapped-up three lengths over Secrecy in a career-best clocking of 1:51.3. Inspiration View was third.

Brad Gray, Michael Guerriero and Menary Racing Inc share ownership on the talented performer, who was a $22,000 purchase from the 2014 Harrisburg Yearling Sale. The victory puts him just shy of $70,000 in career earnings.
