France MacLean Triples At Sudbury

Horses trained by France MacLean went to the front and managed to hold off their challengers to take three of Wednesday’s 12 races at Sudbury Downs

.

With Paul MacLean in the sulky, three-year-old pacing colt Jacky Don Tucker broke his maiden in the opener in 2:02.1, five-year-old pacing mare Smart Act N doubled up in the 10th race in 2:01 and veteran trotter Donald Rankin closed out the program with the first victory of his 10-year-old campaign in 2:04.

France’s training triple pushes her into second place in the track’s standings with 14 wins on the year. Lifetime, the resident of Chelmsford, ON has sent out 347 winners for over $1.9 million in purse earnings.
