The field is set for the 2022 Oslo Grand Prix, which will be held during this year's largest international trotting weekend in Norway on Sunday, June 12 at Bjerke Racetrack.

Trained and driven by Norwegian native Dagfin Henriksen and owned by Gerald Haggerty of East Camden, Ont., two-time O'Brien Award winner Perfetto will represent Canada in the 10-horse field and has drawn post position eight.

A career winner of 25 races and more than $730,000, the seven-year-old Majestic Son-Perfect Prelude gelding continues his first European campaign following a fifth-place finish in the Elitloppet trials at Sweden's Solvalla Race Course on May 29.

After two years of limited international participation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year's Group 1 stakes race features horses owned, trained and bred in five different countries vying for the winner's prize of NOK 1.2 million (approximately $160,000 CAD).

Perfetto is the only horse representing North American connections, but the field includes Grand Circuit stakes-placed Seven Nation Army, a four-year-old son of Chapter Seven-Margarita Nights who started his career in the U.S. under the tutelage of Ray Schnittker before being sold to Danish interests.

The field also includes this year's Elitloppet trial starters Admiral As and Cokstile, who won the 2020 edition of Sweden's elite trotting event.
