Party Hangover Two Takes Open

The Tuesday night feature at Running Aces was the $11,000 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap pace, and Party Hangover Two came in to the race looking for her fourth straight win.

Party Hangover Two was sent off as the even money choice from Post 8. Trainer/driver Steve Wiseman sent her straight to the lead before yielding to Windsun T Bird (driven by Tim Maier), who took over past the :28.2 opening quarter. Party Hangover Two then quickly brushed first over to retake the lead Party Hangover Two led the rest of the way (she cut the middle fractions in :57.4 and 1:26.1. She held off a late charge from the resilient Windsun T Bird and a charging Flick A Fly (Rick Magee). The win time was 1:54.3 and the margin of victory was a neck.

Party Hangover Two has now won six of her seven starts this season. The five-year old Party At Artsplace mare paid $4.20 to win. She is owned by Kathy Plested, Barbara and Donald Arnstine and Stephen Chambers.

Wiseman drove four winners of the card. His other victories came with Gram Rules ($6.00), Summons ($4.20) and Hot On The Pace ($9.20).

Wiseman missed the first five nights of the season at Running Aces with a back injury, but he has been sharp since his return to the sulky.

The next card of live racing at Running Aces will head to post on Saturday, June 11 at 6:00 p.m. CDT. The carryover in the 50-cent Jackpot Pick-6 wager will be $5,261.60.
