SBOA Submits Ontario Budget Recommendations

Published: June 8, 2012 08:47 pm EDT

The Standardbred Breeders of Ontario Association (SBOA) recently submitted an official letter to the Ontario Government’s Standing Committee on Finance and Economic Affairs, currently holding hearings on Bill 55 concerning the Ontario Budget.

On June 7, SBOA President Anna Meyers was invited to provide a verbal synopsis of the SBOA submission and she fielded questions from the nine-person multi-party committee. She underlined the breeders' desperate need for government action well before the September yearling sales.

This is a clear and concise description of the crisis facing our industry. Congratulations! I would love to see this sent to every media outlet as well.

For sure - get this out via Canada post to every address in Ontario.tv radio stations, newspapers, etc.

I agree with all of the above comments. This is the best and most complete collection of all or concerns and or governments handy work. Its a shame or thoughts and comments can't get out to the main stream public. This needs to be published. When a government official see's this it only falls on deaf ears and gets buried.

What a wonderfull & revealing document this is . Anna you & your commity did a great job on it. I think that it should be published in the media.

This is the most cogent and comprehensive presentation of the situation to date. This should be bulk mailed to every address in Ontario including every media outlet. It explains everything.

Well done SBOA
