Yesterday at Balmoral Park, two-year-old Park Place colt Little Pauli knocked off nine rivals with a two and three-quarter-length victory in the $5,000 Jimmy Sunshine Stakes.

Coming off a sharp runner-up performance in which he flew home in :27.1, the colt was sent right to the top by driver Art Gregory, Jr. in what was the bay's pari-mutuel debut.

Pacing along comfortably while putting up splits of :30.3, 1:01.3 and 1:31.2, Little Pauli then sealed the deal with a wicked :26.3 final quarter to stop the clock in 1:58.

Eggroll (driven by Marcus Miller) overcame a miscue leaving the gate to rally for the place money, while Winchesters Hero (Michael Rogers) was a distant third.
