Rustico Trisox is now two-for-two in her four-year-old campaign thanks to a win in the $1,400 Open Trot on Saturday at Charlottetown Driving Park.

The Nikes Image mare left from post position No. four with Joey Pineau along for the ride and she rolled through panels of :30, 1:02.2 and 1:33.4 without facing any serious challengers. Rustico Trisox then sealed the deal with a :29-second final frame as she crossed the wire in 2:02.4 with two lengths on the field.

Saulsbrook Balance (Willie Murphy) and Kung Pao Chic (Gary Chappell) finished second and third.

Rustico Trisox scored her 19th career win and bumped her bankroll to $66,320 for trainer and co-owner John Pineau and Myron Ford of Charlottetown, P.E.I.

In the $2,500 John Macrae Memorial Pace, the five-year-old Blissful Hall gelding, Outlawpositivcharg, crushed the field of six when he rolled to a 14-length victory in 1:55.2.

Pans O Silver (Brian MacPhee) was second-best and Negrito (Gary Chappell) rounded out the top three.

Trained and driven by Terry Gallant, Outlawpositivcharg scored his fourth win of the year in five starts and 19th of his career pushing his bankroll to $74,406 for owner J Fred Lamont of Calgary, Alta.
