City Of Hope and driver Ridge Warren teamed up to take the $14,583 featured conditioned trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday, June 6.

Leaving from the gate, City Of Hope was the first to the front, handling the quarter with a :28.3 sprint and using a :29.1 second quarter to reach the half in :57.4. Kingpin Hanover (Jim Pantaleano) moved first over to challenge the pacesetter down the backstretch, but City Of Hope edged to be the first to the three-quarters in 1:26.

City Of Hope braced for a second challenge in the stretch, this time from Sir Maverick (Jim Taggart Jr.), but he dug in to win in 1:56. Sir Maverick was second with Doc Nixon (Ron Cushing) third.

Trainer David Dewhurst co-owns the six-year-old Mets Hall gelding with Philip Hale as City Of Hope recorded his fourth win of the year and 35th career victory. He returned $3.70 to win.

Jim Pantaleano had a driving triple while Ridge Warren and Kyle Swift each had driving doubles.

Tioga Downs resumes racing on Sunday (June 7) with a 12:30 p.m. first post.
