Luther Brothers (the horse) won for the Luther brothers (trainer Todd and owner Greg) on Wednesday, June 5 in the $41,096 Kevin Greenfield final at Eldorado Scioto Downs.

Driver Dan Noble let the dust settle up front while Papa Nordin (Jeremy Smith) hit the quarter in :28.3. Pulling from sixth to be second-over following Uncle Rukus (Tyler Smith), who had been parked since the start, Luther Brothers was sitting fourth at the :59 half. Do Whats Right (Brett Miller) came charging late to finish second while Pleaseandthankyou (Cameron McCown) was third.

The win marked three-year-old trotter Luther Brother’s third straight in the Buckeye State after winning the two preliminary legs of the Greenfield mini-series. The Long Tom gelding now has $52,771 in 12 lifetime starts for owner Greg Luther Racing LLC.

Scioto Downs hosts four divisions of the mini-series for Ohio-sired non-winners of one named after past Ohio Harness Horsemen's Association presidents and general managers. The final of the Jerry Knappenberger, for colt pacers, was held on May 23 and won by Heerz Popeye in 1:53.1. On June 4, Lady Almas took the John Konesky III for filly trotters in 1:56.2.
