Kenneth Burk of Indianapolis was the fifth winner of a Cadillac in Hoosier Park Racing and Casino’s TGI Caddy giveaway Friday, June 5
. Fab Five Driver Jason Dillander congratulated Burk, who was at the facility on the horse racing side at the time of the announcement.
Burk is a regular horse player at Hoosier Park’s OTB in downtown Indianapolis. He comes up to Hoosier Park occasionally for live racing and was in attendance when the name was drawn for the 2009 Cadillac CTS. Burk will have the option of the Cadillac or $25,000 in cash as the weekly winner of the promotion.
Dillander, who is currently third in the standings at Hoosier Park, announced the name of the winner on the casino floor next to the Cadillac that is on display for the promotion. A native of Kentucky, Dillander has more than 1,200 career wins. He won a race earlier in the night on the Hoosier Park live harness racing program.
“I’m originally from Louisville and used to watch Jason’s dad, Charles, race at Louisville Downs,” said Burk. “I’ve played the ponies for a long time. I’m down at the Indy OTB a lot but I don’t come up here as much to Hoosier Park. This is quite a thrill to win a Cadillac.”
Burk has been a native of Indianapolis for the past 20 years. His car recently broke down and he is currently driving a rental car.
TGI Caddys continues through the month of June with three more Cadillacs waiting to be given away each Friday. The promotion includes more than $350,000 in cash and prizes, offering eight Cadillacs in eight weeks.
