Stormont O My fashioned a front-end trip to win another edition of the $11,000 Not Listed Preferred Trot at Sudbury Downs in rein to trainer Mario Rivest on Saturday night. The Pot O Gold Claiming Series also continued with three second leg divisions.

In the featured trot, Stormont O My cleared the lead after the :28-second opening quarter and carved out the remaining fractions of :57.4 and 1:29.1. The 3-2 popular choice then held off Elton Blue Chip (Richard Turcotte), who rallied from last, by a quarter-length for the 2:00.3 triumph. Bjs Fancy (Allan Hohner) finished 1-1/4 length behind in third.

Stormont O My returned $5.10 to win. The six-year-old Stormont Bronze-Tanya Seelster mare has won four of her last five starts for Rivest and owner John MacMillan of Spencerville, ON. She is now five-for-15 on the year with $42,845 banked and sports 17 wins and $182,588 in earnings on her lifetime record.

The second leg of the Pot O Gold Claiming Series featured three $4,500 divisions with upsets in each event.

Veteran gelding Stone Cold Billyo, sent postward as the 9-1 fifth choice, front-stepped his way to a 1:59.1 score in the first division while 5-1 fifth choice Jeneract, who was claimed in the first leg of the series, converted from the pocket to win the second split in 1:59.4 by three-quarters of a length over favourite Xlr Ray Shun King (Gerry Bellanger). Both winners were driven by David Dowling and trained by Mike Lamoureux, who teamed up for a total of three winners on the 12-race program.

Sharpest Edge, the 8-1 sixth choice in the final division, rallied off cover to win in 1:59 over pacesetter Gemstone (Paul MacLean) for driver Mike MacNeill and trainer Danielle Soulliere.
