Another Victory For Adam T

Adam T made it four wins in a row when he captured the Georgian Downs’ Saturday night feature, the $14,000 Preferred 2 Trot, in a season’s best 1:54.3

Leaving from the inside post position, Famous Mark (Scott Coulter) took control while outside starter Logan Aas (Scott Zeron) applied pressure to the first quarter in :27 before tucking into the pocket. After winning the early battle, Famous Mark showed the way to the half in :56.3 while trainer-driver Shane Weber sent Adam T first up from fourth. The 3-2 favourite rushed to command before the 1:25.2 third quarter mark and kicked away by five lengths heading into the stretch. The eight-year-old son of Angus Hall-Cool Reins was untouchable as he coasted home in :29.1 for the 1:54.3 victory. Bank President (Simon Allard) closed well to finish 2-1/4 length behind in second while Famous Mark finished back in third.

Adam T paid $5.30 to win. The winner of four races in five seasonal starts has banked $47,000 in 2010 for owners and breeders Thomas and Elizabeth Rankin of St. Catharines, ON. He captured the Preferred Trot on Upper Canada Cup night (May 29) at Georgian along with a pair of conditioners at Woodbine back in January. Lifetime, Adam T has won 18 times and earned $480,201.
