Dresden Celebrates Local Businesses

Published: June 4, 2016 12:08 am EDT

It will not be business as usual at Dresden Raceway this Sunday afternoon...it will be bigger and better with more giveaways as the track is celebrating local businesses.

Nine local businesses will be honoured this Sunday afternoon as each will have a race named in their honour and each business will do a special draw on top of usual draws and giveaways.

The businesses participating in the event include Coco’s Coffee House and Tanning Salon, Babcock Jewellers, McFadden Heating and Cooling, Godfather’s Pizza and Subs, Arim’s Department Store, Shelley’s Painted Treasures and Quilt Shop, OLG, Harvest Moon Café and Tea House and McTavish Pharmacy.

On the track, Mark Williams is hoping that Sweet Queen Cole can remain undefeated in her second career start. The four-year-old Art Colony mare has drawn the five-hole in the eighth race.

Post time is 1:30 p.m.
