It has been reported that Minnesota's Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community, which operates the Mystic Lake native casino in the state, has reached a deal with operators of the Canterbury Park racetrack for thoroughbreds which would see raceway officials and lobbyists cease in their efforts to bring expanded casino gaming to the facility.

According to an article by the Star Tribune, the deal would see the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community contribute tens of millions of dollars which would enhance the purses structure at the nearby track.

The report states that deal would run 10 years and the casino would funnel roughly $80 million to the track.
