Series Quebecoise action dominated Sunday's harness racing card at Hippodrome 3R with six $7,000 divisions for sophomore pacers and trotters.

The pacing fillies opened the program with favourite Sam Alexis ($3.30) and driver Stephane Brosseau prevailing by a head over Active Panic in 1:57.4 for trainer Serge Ouellet, who shares ownership with Les Ecuries Prestige Inc. of Mascouche, Que. The homebred No Pan Intended filly is now a perfect three-for-three in her sophomore campaign.

Former Quebec champion Eloge ($5.70), another daughter of No Pan Intended, won the other pacing filly division later on the card. The 3-2 second choice advanced to command past the half en route to a 1:57.1 two and a half length victory with Mario Charron in the sulky for trainer Eric Valiquette and owner/breeder Guy Corbeil of Mirabel, Que.

Trotting filly Canbec Kangourou ($4.90) romped to a six and a half length, maiden-breaking victory in 2:03. Jocelyn Gendron drove the favoured daughter of Amigo Hall for trainer Daniel Martin, who co-owns with Lapharmaciedekedgwick Inc. of Kedgwick, N.B.

Helene Filion's The Real One ($3.50) led the colt winners with the fastest mile of the day, clocked in 1:56.1. Richard Simard worked out the winning front-end trip aboard the popular Mach Three gelding for conditioner Bertrand Ayotte.

The lightly raced Lucky Nadotremblay ($7.20) won the other pacing colt division from off-the-pace in 1:57 flat with Yves Filion in the bike. The Blissfull Hall colt defeated the front-stepping favourite, Duc Dorleans, by three-quarters of a length. He is trained by Dominic Gladu and owned by Marcel Gladu of Brossard, Que. and Roger Bourgeois of Rawdon, Que.

Filion doubled up in the series with his own trainee, favourite Offson ($3.80), recovering from an early miscue to take the trotting colt division in 2:02.4. Jacques Damours of Laval, Que. owns and bred the Majestic Son gelding.

In other racing action, former Quebec Sires Stakes trotting star Pablo Angus continued his perfect 11-year-old season with a 2:00 victory, his fifth in a row, with Rheo Filion driving for trainer Eric Gnocchini and owner Mario Bourgea of Stanbridge East, Que.
