Red Shores Racetrack & Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park and Red Shores at Summerside Raceway has filled the role of new Racing Experience Manager with Brett Revington, who has accepted the position

and begins his duties on July 26, 2010.

Revington comes to Red Shores from Western Fair Raceway in London, Ontario, where he served as Assistant Raceway Manager. There, as part of his management responsibilities, Mr. Revington introduced new initiatives to increase simulcast distribution and revenue, and to improve the guest experience. He also had the responsibility of managing the annual fall fair.

Revington has a long history with horse racing in both a professional and personal setting with his family owning race horses dating back to his Grandfather's time.

This passion for harness racing resonated with Revington to his professional career. After starting his management career in financial services, he joined Woodbine Entertainment Group as Stakes Manager. During his six years with the team, he gained experience in interaction with various industry groups, as well as the design of racing conditions and stakes programs. He then joined the Ontario Racing Commission where he served as an Associate Judge, responsible for rule enforcement and hearing adjudication.

“On behalf of the PEI Harness Racing Industry Association we are extremely pleased to welcome Brett here to PEI”, said President Tom Clark. “With Brett's previous experience in the race game, and his obvious passion for the business, he'll compliment the whole management group at Red Shores, and with what we have heard in the way of positive comments, from a host of Islanders in the business in Ontario, we can't wait to get started.”

Revington has family connections to Prince Edward Island and has spent several summers on the Island in his youth.
