With the final program of the current meet at London, Ont.'s Western Fair Raceway set for this afternoon (Tuesday, June 30), London television reporter Brent Lale was wondering what will fill the three-month
hiatus in the immediate area for live harness racing.
Last Saturday, Lale attended the live program at Woodstock Raceway, about 43 kilometres (24 miles) east of London, to find out.
The report will air in the prime time newscasts on London's 'A' Channel at about 6:50 and 11:12 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30.
For the report, Lale conducted interviews with drivers Jody Jamieson, Brad Forward and Doug McNair. He also spoke with Woodstock Raceway general manager Paul Masters and with former trainer Louise Jamieson for a preview of the track's big fundraiser day.
The fundraiser day is scheduled for Saturday, July 11 with the Mildred Williams International Driving Series in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
