Who is the newest individual in the standardbred racing industry to have themselves immortalized via
bobblehead?
Tioga Downs has announced that it will be giving away Yannick Gingras bobbleheads on Sunday, August 2, which is also the third annual Driver’s Championship.
First race post time is 1:30 p.m.
Along with Brian Sears, Gingras was the co-champion of the inaugural event in 2007, but was the outright champion in 2008 after winning the final three events on the card.
“Yannick was chosen for the bobblehead giveaway this year in honour of his back-to-back championships in the event. With the Drivers' Championship and the Yannick bobblehead giveaway on that Sunday afternoon, we are expecting a big crowd,” said Jason Settlemoir, vice president of Racing and Simulcast at Tioga.
The giveaway will begin at 12:00 p.m. on the trackside apron and Yannick Gingras will be down there as well to sign some bobbleheads.
The other eight drivers for the Drivers' Championship will also be on hand for a driver meet-and-greet along with photos for an autograph session.
Bobbleheads will be given out to the public while supplies last.
