Bettor B Going Impresses

Despite heavy rain and lightning early in the evening on Saturday (June 1) at Kawartha Downs, thunder really struck later in the card.

Three-year-old Bettors Delight gelding Bettor B Going faced the gate for Race 9, which was just his second career start. Bettor B Going was a much-the-best winner in the tilt, as he paced to a wire-to-wire, 1:52.1 win with Nick Boyd in the sulky. The margin of victory was no less than 29 lengths.

Bettor B Going is owned by Grant and Joanne Curnow of Pefferlaw, Ont. and is trained by Wilford Perrault. The win was one of three on the Saturday card for Boyd.

A good crowd was on hand Saturday at Kawartha. Additionally, DJ Vinnie entertaining the crowd with ‘Name That Tune’ contests in between races.
