Three Regional Driving Championships took place across the country this past weekend.
The Ontario Regional Driving Championship kicked things off at Grand River Raceway in Elora, Ont., on Friday night where James MacDonald and Trevor Henry finished 1-2 and earned spots in the NDC. Next up was the Atlantic Regional Driving Championship at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at Charlottetown Driving Park on Saturday night where Jason Hughes finished on top with Corey MacPherson taking the runner up spot. Century Downs Racetrack and Casino near Calgary, Alta., hosted the Western Regional Driving Championship on Sunday afternoon with Brandon Campbell successfully defending his title. He and second place finisher Jim Marino will also head to the National on October 14 at The Raceway at Western Fair District in London, Ont.
The final two NDC spots will be determined at the Quebec / Eastern Ontario Regional Driving Championship, set for Tuesday, July 12 at Hippodrome 3R in Quebec.
