JK Special Headlines CDP Card

A 12-dash card is set for Red Shores' Charlottetown on Thursday, June 30. Race 3 and 5 will spotlight the trotters, while the Open mares will step out onto the track for the Race 11 feature.

JK Special is the morning line favourite in a competitive top class which will see eight mares line up for a purse of $2,200. The six-year-old daughter of Cammibest will be looking for back-to-back wins. She was victorious in her latest effort, a 1:58.2 score in a division of the Erwin Andrew Memorial. Walter Cheverie will pilot JK Special from the rail, for owner Joe Smallwood, of Stratford.

Driver Kenny Arsenault is only one win away from the 2,500th of his career. With eight steers on the card, Arsenault has an excellent chance of reaching the milestone on Thursday.

The program's first-race post time is 7:00 p.m.
