Legal Suspensory wired the field of three-year-old Rising Starlet pacing fillies to take the lion’s share of the $20,000 purse on Saturday
during Fraser Downs final card of the season.
Driven by Darren Howald, Legal Suspensory, the 2-1 second choice, led the field of seven around the Surrey oval passing the quarter markers of :27.4, :58.2 and 1:26.2 before coasting to a five length score in 1:54.4.
Angelic Star (Serge Masse) survived a first over trip to finish second with Run Way Star (David Hudon) rounding out the top three.
Thomas Miller trains the Pulledsuspensory filly, who is now four-for-four in her 2009 campaign. The winner of four races in five starts and $16,700 is owned by the Shale Stables of Langley, B.C.
In other action, Justin Currie enjoyed a training hat trick during the 12-race card, which bumped his yearly win total to 13. Over the span of three years, the resident of Langley, B.C. has recorded 26 wins earning over $73,000 in purses.
Barry Treen drove Know Your Limit (1:55.1) and Positive Time (1:55.2) to victory for Currie while Glenn White sat behind Sues Destroyer (1:58.3).
