Hanover Raceway showcased 10 very competitive races over its Saturday afternoon card. Close races and big payouts were the order of the day for the afternoon's action at the Grey County Oval.

Catch Driver Pick 4

The new 15 percent low takeout pool Pick 4 continues to be popular with horseplayers, bringing in over $2,100. The play featured a very competitive four-race sequence and rewarded fans who were able to map out the correct ticket as the Catch Driver Pick 4 paid $103.60 on a $1 ticket.

MacDonald Makes His Presence Felt

Brett MacDonald has made his presence felt since becoming a regular at Hanover Raceway this season. MacDonald put on a show over the 10-race card, registering three winners on the day. He kicked off his winning ways in the first race guiding three-year-old pacing filly Shark Idea to a 5-1/2 length victory in 1:59. He completed the hat trick in Races 9 and 10, with Eas Ideal (1:59.4) and Braonach (1:58.3). At odds of 11-1, Eas Ideal paid $25.10 to win and the $1 Superfecta paid an incredible $4,199.85.

Hanover Raceway is back in action next Saturday (July 4) with a first post time of 2:00 p.m., hosting a leg of the Prospect Series for three-year-old filly trotters. Hanover Raceway offers live racing action through its YouTube, Facebook and website for fans to enjoy and wagering is available through HPIBet.
