Gilles Barrieau was in the driver’s seat for trainer Jackie Matheson and the Charlottetown ownership group of Quentin and Hal Bevan, Tom Clark and Ron Matheson.
Barrieau sent favourite D Gs Camme to the point from post five and laid down stiff fractions of :27, :56.1 and 1:25.3 before cruising home in :28.2 to notch his first victory of 2015 in only his second start of the campaign.
