Paul MacKenzie enjoyed a productive Friday evening in the driver’s seat at Flamboro Downs winning five of 11 races
.
The resident of Puslinch, Ontario teamed up with trainer Phil Coleman for a pair of wins with Keepers Destiny (1:57.3) in Race 6 and Betsy Hall (1:57.2) in Race 10.
MacKenzie also guided a pair of sophomores to their first lifetime wins; Kilted Pride, a three-year-old Angus Hall trotter, scored in 2:01.1 in the second race for trainer Scott McEneny and Emerald Jaguar, a three-year-old son of Mach Three, won Race 6 in 2:00.4 for John Janes.
MacKenzie’s other win came aboard the Ken Oliver pupil Diesels Reality (1:57) in Race 8.
The five-bagger bumped MacKenzie’s yearly win total to 186 with over $1.1 million earned. The winner of 6,442 races lifetime has banked over $34.5 million in purses.
