When owners give their young racehorse a name like 'Keystone Dash,' they are surely hoping their charge can show some speed and become a player in industry. After what the aforementioned two-year-old did during Wednesday (June 26) qualifying action, his connections must be pleased.

Keystone Dash, a colt by Sweet Lou out of Keystone Dawn, set a North American season’s record for his division as he streaked to a 1:54.2 victory in a morning baby race at The Downs at Mohegan Sun Pocono. Keystone Dash went right to the lead, posted equal halves of :57.1, and was first under the wire.

Keystone Dash was driven by his trainer, Åke Svanstedt, for Åke Svanstedt Inc. of Wrightstown, NJ.

The Charlie Norris stable sent out both winners during the morning session when it came to two-year-old trotting males: the Muscle Massive – My Winning Way K colt Moveoutofmyway K, driven by Matt Kakaley to a 1:59.3 win, and the Cantab Hall – Tough Girl Lindy colt Tuff To Be Lindy, whom Norris guided to a 2:00.3 victory.
