Running Aces’ Tuesday evening (June 25) live program featured a $14,000 Mares Open Pace, which housed a field of seven.

Newcomer Juslikeaqueen (driven by Dean Magee) was heavily supported by the betting public and was sent off as the 2-5 favourite from Post 1.

Delightfully Wild (Nick Roland) was fastest from the gate from Post 2 and set honest early fractions of :27.3 and :56.1 while Juslikeaqueen rode along comfortably in the pocket.

Cenalta Diamond (Tim Maier) launched a first-over attack near the five-eighths pole and applied heavy pressure to the leader as they rounded the far turn and registered a 1:24.2 third call. Pull The Shade (Steve Wiseman) tipped three wide off cover and took the lead as they squared for home, while Juslikeaqueen angled to the outside with a furious charge to the wire and surged past right on the line for a half-length score in 1:52.3.

Juslikeaqueen ($2.80) is a five-year-old daughter of Palone Ranger out of the Kingston mare Queen Caroline. She now sports six wins from 19 starts this season. She has now notched 23 career wins and banked $266,080 in purses over the course of her career.

Juslikeaqueen is owned by Antonia Storer and trained by Tim Maier. She is being aimed at Running Aces’ Dan Patch Free-For-All Pace, which will get underway with elimination races on July 14.

Tuesday’s program also featured a pair of two-year-old races for both trotters and pacers. The $10,000 Two-Year-Old Open Trot was captured by Miss Gracious ($6.80, Dean Magee), a filly by Money Talks who outlasted Lo Can Go Go Go (Williams Hernandez) by a neck in 2:05.3. The $10,000 Two-Year-Old Open Pace was won by Waco Sassy Kid, a gelding by Costa Rica Kid driven by Nick Roland. The duo notched a three-quarter-length score in 2:00.3 to remain unbeaten in three career races.

Live racing will return to Running Aces on Saturday, June 29 with first post at 6:00 p.m. (CDT).
