Framed Art Takes Delaware Special

Art and Andrew Stafford's Framed Art was a 1:51.4 winner in the $15,000 Delaware Special Monday at Harrington Raceway.

Framed Art ($4.60, Art Stafford, Jr.) assumed the early lead from Im Supersonic A, last week's winner, to an opening quarter in :27. He led the field to the half mile in :55.4 and three-quarters in 1:23.2.

Framed Art opened up four lengths on the field on the final turn and never relented to the wire en route to his fourth win of the year. Im Supersonic was second with Lee Is A Star third. The winner is trained by his co-owner Andrew Stafford and boosted his lifetime earnings to more than $510,000.

Driver Allan Davis inched closer to 2,000 career wins after prevailing in the sixth race from post eight with Papa Ray ($21.60) and with Housatonic ($6) in the 11th.
