Nifty Prescott Wires Buffalo Pacers

Nifty Prescott, a seven-year-old Million Dollar Cam gelding out of the Jennas Beach Boy mare Shannon Déjà Vu, won the $10,000 Open Handicap Pace in 1:55.4 for the Grand Sun Stables of Williamsville New York at Buffalo Raceway Saturday night (June 25)

. It was the fourth win this season for Nifty Prescott, and his winning time establishes a new season’s mark.

Nifty Prescott ($10.20) with reinsman John Cummings, Jr. in the sulky, shot right to the lead from Post 4, and cut all the fractions in the race, :29.1, :58.4 and 1:27.3. A :28.1 last quarter-mile put the winner one and three-quarter lengths ahead of second place finisher Card Shark Krazy (Keith Kash Jr.) at the finish line. Most Happy Rider (Kevin Cummings) came in third.

Trained by Gerry Sarama, the $5,000 share of the winning purse put Nifty Prescott’s season bankroll at $21,050, and $229,876 lifetime.
