Paquet sat in fourth as All About Justice (Jim Taggart Jr.) led the field through fractions of 27.2, as the field passed the three eighth’s pole Paquet attempted a brush to the front, but Taggart would not release him. The Shepherd was left first over through fractions of 57, and 1:25.4 before tiring down the pacesetter and capturing victory in 1:57.
All About Justice (Jim Taggart Jr.) held on for second, while pocket sitting Diva Diva (Andy Santeramo) had to settle for third. It was the fourth win in eighteen seasonal starts for the 5-year old son of Kadabra-Loves Caress, who is trained by Scott Blackler for Pump Handle Stables LLC of Delaware.
Fern Paquet Jr. posted a driving triple on the night’s ten race card, while Corey Braden captured two victories. Tioga Downs continues live harness racing action on Sunday, June 27 with the continuation of “Pick 6 Sundays” and a guaranteed $6,000 pool. The takeout rate for the pick 6 is 21% and will be held races 4-9 with a $1 minimum wager. If no one is successful in picking all six winners, as was the case in the first week, 25% of the pool will be paid out as a consolation payout, with 75% being carried over to the following Sunday of live racing.
