Taking control of the race from the word ‘go’ Screen Test made quick work of his rivals in the Friday evening feature pace while stopping the clock in 1:54.4 at Red Shores at the Summerside Raceway.

In the crowning moment of a Corey MacPherson driving triple, Screen Test demanded the lead in the $3,000 top event and led at every call closing out the mile in :27.4 for a 1:54.4 win over Panimal Kingdom (Driven by David Dowling) and Soccer Hanover (Ken Murphy). The son of Vertical Horizon is trained by Ron Gass for owners William Andrew of Alberta and Kickin Horse Stable of York.

Gass also scored a training win in the finale with Disneyman (1:56) for driver Marc Campbell to continue that trainer’s lead In the Summerside standings.

MacPherson’s other driving wins were with Jays Little Spark (1:59.1) from the Greg MacInnis barn and with The Big Chase (1:56.2) from his own stable.

Alberton’s Devon Wallace scored a training-driving double as he steered brothers Silver Spirit (2:00) and Silver Jake (1:57.4) to lifetime best performances.

Live racing continues at Red Shores Summerside on Thursday July 1 for a special Canada Day card celebrating 135 years of racing.
