The first show in the Ontario Standardbred Show Series will be held this Sunday, June 28 at Oxer Stables in Milton Ontario.
The site is a mere 10 minutes south of Mohawk Racetrack. The show will be going on rain or shine. Parking and admission are both free.
Dressage starts at 9:00 a.m. with 14 horses pre-entered. Classes ranging from English and Western performance, pleasure driving, games and jumping will allow everyone the opportunity to see just how versatile the standardbred is.
This show is open to registered standardbreds only. Participants must have liability insurance to compete.
This is the first show in the series, which offers three shows in 2009 where riders and horses can accumulate points for year-end awards. These awards will be given out at Grand River Raceway on Sunday November 1.
