
Mr Cantab moved swiftly to the lead at the quarter pole, and held off all other competitors to take the $15,000 trot for three and four-year-olds Thursday night at
The Meadowlands.
With Andy Miller in tow, Mr Cantab trotted to a career-best clocking of 1:54 for the partnership of Brittany Farms, John Carver, Ronald Michelon and Riverview Farms.
The Erv Miller pupil parked past the quarter pole in :28 seconds before clearing and laying down remaining splits of :56 and 1:25.1. The three-year-old son of Cantab Hall – Miss Marita used a :28.4 final quarter to win by just over seventh lengths.
Mr. Cantab, a hopeful for the $1.5million Hambletonian on August 8, boosted his career earnings to $27,012 with the win.
