A pair of female pacers with impeccable pedigrees were the stars of the show on Wednesday afternoon (June 24) at Harrah’s Philadelphia, as the southeast Pennsylvania track began its first full week of racing.

American Ideal four-year-old JK American Beauty came out of the pocket, chased down the pace-setting Tango Dancer N, drew clear, and lowered her life's mark to 1:50.1. Im Very Special closed well for second and finished one and a half lengths in arrears. Tango Dancer N finished third, two and a half lengths behind the victor. Courtesy of the win, JK American Beauty now has $440,027 in career purse earnings. Yannick Gingras was in the bike on Wednesday for trainer Nancy Takter and the 3 Brothers Stables.

Captaintreacherous sophomore Baby Your The Best got her 2020 season off to a dandy start in the first race of the day. Baby Your The Best made the lead past the quarter and paced her back half in :54.4. Baby Your The Best lowered her life's mark to 1:51.1 with the effort. On Wednesday, the winner of over a quarter-million dollars at two looked like she was ready to start adding to that total significantly. David Miller was driving Wednesday for trainer Linda Toscano and owners Richard and Joanne Young.

The track's 2019 dash-winning driving champion Tim Tetrick displayed mid-season form during the second day of the track's meet, as he recorded six wins, despite four of them having to come on via the uncovered route. Tetrick also produced the biggest 'bomb' of the young season when he guided the maiden Lady Phoenix to a 1:55.1 triumph while paying $64.60 to win.
