A hard-hitting field of eight pacers will don their bridles and go to battle in the Thursday night feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.
First-race post time is 7 p.m. for the 12-dash event.
The Race 11 feature has Tempo Seelster installed as the morning line choice for owner, trainer and driver Vincent Poulton of Charlottetown. The five-year-old son of Santanna Blue Chip does not show a mile slower than 1:57.4 on his race lines and has post two to top it off. He won’t be unchallenged though, as Cheyenne Ford has the rail for trainer/driver Kenny Arsenault and owner James O’Halloran of Montague, P.E.I., and Forever Paradise (Marc Campbell) poses a real danger from post seven after scoring a 1:57.1 victory in his latest outing.
Other entries include The Big Bite (Corey MacPherson), Beckenbauer (Jason Hughes), A Fiesty X Ample (Mark Bradley), Artners In Crime (Ron Matheson) and First Art Down (Ken Murphy).
The back-up class lines up in race seven with Lyndale Royal getting top call from Race Secretary Gerard Smith. The six-year-old son of Force Of Life gets post five with Marc Campbell in the bike for co-owner and trainer Brent Campbell of Charlottetown and co-owner Neal Moase of Warren Grove, P.E.I. Other top entries include Van Zant (Matheson), Windemere Eric (Gary Chappell) and Sinners In Heaven (Terry Gallant).
Two trot classes will go postward on the card in races three and five. Summerside Raceway track record holder Suicide Shift will look to come back from a break in stride last week in race three with Steven Shepherd in the bike from post six. Race five has Dunmore Chance kicking off his four-year-old campaign from post four in the eight horse field with Jack Panting at the lines.
