It has been announced that in honour of one of the greatest careers in the history of harness racing, the Meadowlands Racetrack will present an evening that will pay tribute to the career of Cattello ‘Cat’ Manzi.
On Friday, July 25, the ‘Cat-Man’, as many fans called him, will return to the Meadowlands, not to drive any horses, but to take part in an evening that will look back and pay tribute to his storied career.
Manzi, a winner of 14,812 races, currently third all-time, spent many of his best years driving at the Meadowlands, where he finished in the top five in the driver’s standings 12 times. Manzi’s greatest win at the Meadowlands was undoubtedly the 2006 Meadowlands Pace with the great Artistic Fella.
The Meadowlands has announced via release that details for the evening will be announced shortly.
