The Instrument Landing Claiming Series kicked off on Wednesday night at the Meadowlands Racetrack with favourites Delivered From Zin and Armbro Dane winning their respective $12,500 first leg divisions
.
In the first split for $15,000 claimers, Delivered From Zin scored his fourth win in eight 2009 outings in rein to Brian Sears for trainer and owner Peter Kleinhans. The six-year-old son of Sealed N Delivered rallied from off the pace to win by a neck in 1:52.1 over Synide (David Miller) while the pacesetting Fibber Magee A (George Brennan) finished third.
Delivered From Zin has won eight times over the course of his career earning over $48,000.
Jeffery Bamond’s Armbro Dane made the front at the half and never looked back in the second division. The six-year-old Camluck son scored his third straight win in 1:51.3 with David Miller in the bike for trainer Mark Kesmodel. Tempest Anvil N (Ron Pierce) came on for second finishing three-quarters of a length back and Four Starz Magic (Brian Sears) rounded out the top three.
Armbro Dane scored his 13th lifetime victory bumping his bankroll over the $150,000 mark.
