In recognition and support of all of the hard-working caretakers in the Canadian harness racing industry, Standardbred Canada's Rachel Oenema has produced a short video on caretakers working with their horses.
The video, sponsored by Ontario Racing, is being made available to racetracks across the country to play in promotion of their National Caretaker Appreciation Day events during the weekend of July 19-21.
This marks the second consecutive year that Standardbred Canada will facilitate National Caretaker Appreciation Day events across the country.
This initiative was launched to recognize and reward caretakers in the Standardbred industry. Last year 18 racetracks across the country hosted events.
